/ Redemptive Suffering - The study of the problem
of evil in the world. The issue is raised in light of the sovereignty
of God. How could a holy and loving God who is in control of all
things allow evil to exist? Does God work within His created order
or does He need to work outside of it or supernaturally or miraculously?
Redemptive Suffering is God’s ability to use catastrophic
events to carry out His will to its ultimate purpose (Rom.8:28,
Col.1:24).).
Through suffering all of creation participates with Christ redemptively.
Others have approached the problem of evil by creating a "dualism,"
God verses the Devil, similiar to Zoroastrianism
and Gnosticism.
