Sunday Morning Adult Class Topics

  • The "Fellowship" Sunday School Class - Room 114

    • This class is multi-generational, and often consists of people ages 35-80, although we welcome the input of young people as well. Generally, our class consists of 10-12 people. We tend to focus on studies that relate to how we as Christians can live a more Godly life in our modern-day society. Currently, we are studying "Three Simple Rules for Christian Living". The book focuses on helping us discover that by following the 3 principles of Christian living illuminated by John Wesley--(1)Do no harm,(2)Do good, and(3)Stay in love with God--we can lead a more Godly life. Please join us if you are looking for a small group setting, guidance on how to live a more Godly life, and lots of laughter!!
    •

  • The "Family Matters" Class - Room 312

    • This is a very informal class for individuals with children from birth to senior high. In addition to meeting weekly for study and discussion, this class seeks to build community with one another. They want to be there to support and encourage one another as they raise their families. They also work together to serve the church and community. Currently, they are helping the mission committee with the ink cartridge mission. In the past, they have gone Christmas caroling, organized activities at Brentwood, and hosted parties for the kids at Bashor Children’s Home. If you are a parent looking for community, please join us.
    •

  • The "Faithful Class" - Room 118

    • The "Faithful Class" follows the International Lesson Plan, which covers parts of the Bible during a six-year cycle. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who would like to delve deeply into Scripture. The lesson writers are United Methodists, and their purpose is to guide people in today’s world by incorporating Biblical truths into their everyday living. Please join us for this class anytime!
    •

  • Looking for an Inter-generational Sunday School Class?

    • If you are looking for an inter-generational Sunday school class then come to the Conference Room. This class is an easy-going, multi-generational, discussion-based class. They like to dig in deep to scripture and thus often move slowly through a curriculum. Currently they are just completing a study on Hebrews by Warren Wiersbe. They are discussing what they will be studying next as they often alternate between Bible studies, book studies, and video studies.
    •

  • "Baby-Boomers" Sunday School Class

    • The “Baby Boomers Sunday School class” is very informal and a friendly group of people. We meet weekly in Room 115. We enjoy watching videos and discussing our interpretation of what we received from it. We've involved ourselves with the Youth and sponsored the mini golf course in the church. We are a newer class and welcome anyone that fits into the Baby Boomer age bracket.
