Missions News
All loose coins collected during the worship services this month will go to “Elkhart County Jail Ministry.”
Recycled Ink Cartridges
At this time we are not accepting
recycled Ink Cartridges for our Missions food program. We are looking for
another ministry that will provide this service. Thanks for all of your
past support.
Soup Labels
The Campbell’s soup labels continue to be collected for Bashor Home. Please put them in an envelope and place them in the “office mail” slot at the Information Desks, or the Missions mailbox # 8 in the office reception room. Thanks!
Volunteer Service
Habitat for Humanity and World Missionary Press are two of our volunteer services Faith Church has scheduled this year. Please contact Dale Stickel at 522-7555 for more information.
Work Camps
We will have two work camp opportunities again this year. One in Kentucky, and one in Haiti. We will be going to Haiti for one week from July 12 to July 19. We will have two teams, one will do construction work and the other will work on daylong Bible School. The Bible School will have a curriculum made out to work with. The Missions Budget will cover part of the cost, but each person should expect to pay between $500 and $750, depending on the price of airline tickets.
The other opportunity will be to go to Red Bird Mission in Beverly KY. The work will depend somewhat on the skill level of the group. We will leave on April 13 and return on April 19. The Missions Budget will cover part of the cost, but each person should expect to pay about $200. If you have an interest in either or both of these opportunities contact Dale Stickel at 522-7555 or the church office.
Church Community Services Need Your Help!
Please purchase non-perishable food items, and place them in the grocery carts in the narthex. Baby food, diapers, cereal, and formulas, boxed & canned food, soups, noodles, spaghetti, bar soap, powdered laundry detergent, and personal hygiene items are also needed. Faith Church continues its pledge to stock their soup shelves. Tan containers are located at each end of the Narthex for your donations. This is an ongoing ministry; thank you for reaching out to those in our community!
“Soup-er Sundays!”
Faith Church has pledged to stock the soup shelves at Church Community Services this year. Donations may be placed in the containers at each end of the narthex. “Soup-er Sundays” will be an ongoing project in addition to our monthly collection of non-perishable food items.
